Slashdotting Reality
2005.05.04 2:48

When we first encounter something somebody for the first time, they have to be strangers. Otherwise they are not strangers, but there are some stages from complete strangers to acquaintants through 'slashdotting' reality.
When we read a book, we knew how the author is like, but we don't talk to him in reality. That's a virtual reality. In slashdot world, we read someone's article, at the same time, we are able to talk to them. That's slashdotting reality. It is closer to reality itself.
Our direct reality lies around us, in our job, in our private. So slashdotting reality can turn to be a direct reality, if we communicate through email and meet in a real world. Only distance prevents us from seeing each other. If slashdottors happen to live within a same or in a neighbouring cities, or any way we could see each other, slashdotting reality becomes a direct reality.
