#Another Prohibition Law?
If pregnant women were not allowed to abort their babies, what do you think would happen? Apart from appearing of unauthorised practitioners, suppose women have to have their babies, suppose women haven't enough economic power to raise their children, in case their fathers were not known, women who didn't want their kids but are forced to have their children by law, just would start sending them to fosters or orphanages, would treat them badly, and worst of all cases they would kill them after their birth. For those reasons, I oppose making illegal of abortion.
Amazing...1.6millon is quite a few (I mean it's a lot). It is true we have to re-think about the value of life. We can't ignore that... Rousseau tells us there are two births for us. ..One is a delivery and the second birth is after we aquire Self usually after we come of age. Life ought to be a biological concept at any moment, however, according to various phases life faces, as a matter of fact the value of life varies. Biologically life is equal, but the value of it differs according to stages of development in individual life. Again life is a social concept, though ought to be a biological concept in theory, in ideal. So only after the second birth we are bestowed another value in our life. Not before. Among 1.6 millon, we might have found another Einstein, as well as another Hitler. Nobody can tell at the time of abortion, what would become of aborted child in their future, if they are delivered. I mean we might have killed another Einstein, but at the same time we might have killed another Hitler. In this case we had done it most succesfully. Nipped in the bud. That's all what we could say, which neither deter nor encourage our development. Our standpoint in society is that we can't say anything about something that cannot predict at the time done something definitive. Nothing can change its uncertainty. However I agree. we hope we shall have a better society where we don't have to abort our babies any more.
#Consult Doctors
Acquired (post-natal)autism, migraines, slight tongue tie are not disease themselves, though all are symptoms of disorder caused by thromboses in your brain. I strongly urge you to visit neurosurgical doctors, have your brain scanned thoroughly. Especially these are symptoms over thirty. Earlier the better. If you are accesible to MRIs, it's good. Newest technology would not miss any traits in you. Gradually I made sense how you are. Judging from your statment, your symptoms are a sign of autonomic imbalance. Take a deep breath outside your house. Yoga might be helpful.
#Jung
As your pen name suggests, seems you are a believer of Jung. Could you explain to me where the 'arcane storehouse', what is the 'collective unconsciousness', how about 'archetype'? Those are the things that I am unable to find. ...As yet.( I can agree with almost all Freud's theory .)
#Time goes by
It was around ten years ago when abruptly influx of foreign workers started. At the start of this influx, they're forced to work illegaly, therefore sometimes they are paid less, even unpaid. Now government realised it is impossible to stop this influx. Generally people in poorer countries have been heading for richer countries historically. Now instead of prohibiting this influx, our government admit them working in a certain period, issuing working visa. So now they're working under almost the same conditions. Our working standard is downward, while theirs are upward. So who to blame? We cannot forbid someone's arriving. Firstly, we prohibit, but just overwhelming arrival paralysed our thought., and forced us to change our way of thinking eventually. If we cannot overcome them, admit. While they were prohibited, they arrived by boat at the cost of their lives. Now they are allowed to come and work in a certain visa, they are coming by air, stayed two or three years, and go home with some money. Social unrest decreased, although our salary got down. It's OK, our prices of goods and services also got down. If we cannot overcome them, admit. They now consist of our society, too.
I'm not sure why, while you are such a liberal person but when it comes to cases of foreign workers you are conservative even xenophobic. Have you ever lived outside US? I guess you haven't. People live in the US are the same with people live in neighbouring countries, especially poorer ones. Just because where they live, do they have to be different in economy? I think our ancestor, ancestor's ancestor came from Asian continent, or southern islands to seek for a better life. At the beginning of their arrival, they must be descriminated by first settlers. But by doing hard work and making an effort to naturalise their way of life, they might be finally admitted being citizens. Through doing so, they also introduced new cultures, that are gradually brought in, in this land. So the notion of people and culture in one country changes, as time goes by. We are not supposed to be afraid of embracing something new. Even biologically speaking, I think adaption is the best form for us to take.
#A Matter of Degree
I would like to try to figure out your alienness from the racial background you have. If it might be a little bit disturbing for you to hear, I'm sorry. I intend to show answer for it. You have lineage from Native American, right? -which comes from Eurasian Continent through Alaska 9000 years ago, Alaska was connected to Siberia at that time. Your ancestor was the main residents for 8500 years till Columbus 'discovered' America in 1492. Since European people started coming in the Continents, your ancestor's plight has started. In North America, we can hardly find Native people except in several reservations. It is a sad thing. But it's true. Because your ancesters had been living almost completely isolately from the storm of other peoples, native people were so vulnerable against European invasions. Some were ill from diseases Europeans brought and the others were suffered from directly... However that's what your ancestor's plight, not YOUR plight! Please do not confuse. Why you have to be suffered from your ancestor's plight , your ancestor's ancestor's plight. It's nothing to do with you at all. Mainly because American Continents were isolated from the main stream of four major outbreaks of civilisation, its people and culture were far behind the times, which allowed European people to arrive, settle in the Continents. I know there are still distinctions between people who were born in America, Because America is a newly built country in 1776. It will take more 1000 years to intermingle all the people who live in America, but I'm sure these distinctions are going to fade away day by day, year by year, and after certain time has passed, nobody's going to start talking about what is your racial background. As a matter of fact, Japan used to be long lived by two indigenous peoples, one was called Ainu who lived northern part of Japan archipelagos, and the other was people who were related to current Polynesian, Micronesian peoples. About 2000 years ago, Asian people started arriving in this land with an advanced technology, which resulted in a total sweep-out of both indigenous peoples. Now it's hard to know where our ancestors are from only from our outer features. Some are tall while the others are short, some are pale-skinned and the others are dark. We don't care. Various peoples were in the main stream of one people-Japanese. We are united. Now we form a strong nation. So it will take a little time for you to realise that such distinctions as you now feel are just a matter of degree. I hope you get rejuvenated, and I hope you start feeling you are nothing but an American! I know America will realise its dream-truely United States of America.
#Matter of Time
I referred to http://www.aspergers.com/aspclin.htm/ [aspergers.com] I mean your alienness comes from your difference in appearance from other Americans. -I think you know what I was driving at. All people are a mixture of two or three different races. There's no pure people. All are a matter of degree. Some disorders are from genetically inherrited. Since genetic science has been in great progress, you can expect plausable medicine soon. It's beyond my capacity to make a comment how your particular disorder affects the formation of your alienness. If you kept on holding the alienness in you, it might be really frustrating. Seems you would like to attribute your alienness to your disorder, I think you can change your temparament through your effort. Or rather all are a matter of time?
#History tells us
Both ways can be found thoughout history. Before the formation of the Roman Empire, Caesar often invaded Garia. As long as we could see from his description and other historians', genocide never took place. Through war or conflict with people in Garia, I think both Caesar and Garia people could learn lots of things and eventually lead to a peaceful state between two people through intermixture of two different cultures. I didn't think Caesar treat them as a prisoner of war or just conquered but treated them as same as Roman people. I think the Roman Empire continued to take a similar measure as Caesar did. Also Romans took policy called 'Divide and Rule'. Romans never treated them badly. Persians did the similar thing. King Cyrus(Founder of Persian Empire) conquered Babylonia, he released all the Jewish people who had been brought by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and continued to be held till the downfall of Babylonia. Moreover he allowed Jewish people to rebuild the palace in Jerusalem. The feature of Persian rule was to respect all the people they conquered, their way of life, their religion. There are cases, in recent days in Eastern Europe where generally changes within a framework of peace could be found. But these cases rather belong to exceptions. We can name countless examples where peace could be achieved by just an ultimate devastation and -genocide.
